Dr. Amina Imam

Amina Imam is an experienced supply chain professional with over 18 years of hands-on and in-depth knowledge of procurement and vendor management, negotiation, strategies, drafting of policies & procedures, change management and mapping value chain operations. She was voted one of the 100 women in Supply Chain in Africa, 2021.

Biography

She had her first degree in Engineering from Bayero University Kano, she went on to acquire a PGD in Management from University of Calabar; an M.sc in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management from Robert Gordon University (RGU), Aberdeen, Scotland. She also holds a Diploma in Research Methods and Skills from MSM, Netherlands and various other certifications which include cert in Information Systems Management from Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands; Public Leadership Credentials from Harvard Kennedy School and a Doctorate Degree from Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands.

She is a Fellow with the Africa Institute of Supply Chain and an International Trade and Logistics Specialist. She is also a Chartered Professional, Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply United Kingdom-MCIPS; Chartered Member, Purchasing Management Association of Canada- SCMP; Chartered Member, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Chain- Nigeria; Corporate Member, Council of Engineering in Nigeria and Corporate Member, Nigeria Society of Engineers.

She has extensive professional experience both in Nigeria and United Kingdom, amongst which is General Manager, Supply Chain Management at the Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc. (AEDC) and is currently a Sustainable Public Procurement Researcher, University of Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom.

She has a strong zeal for ESG, Children’s welfare and community sustainability.
