She has over 18 years post call experience; 9 years of productive liaison with the Nigerian lottery/gaming Industry’s regulatory authorities and Industry stakeholders with particular exposure to ground breaking transactions, often requiring innovative problem solving skills; a track record of planning & implementing successful negotiations with different government agencies and effective Out of Court settlements with Individuals and Organisations, in high profile cases. She was instrumental in the biggest out of court settlement in the Nigerian Gambling Industry between the Federal Government and the Pioneer Lottery Operator in the country.

She is known to ideate globally and execute locally and she possesses a practical understanding of the intricacies of political scenes and boardroom politics having worked as a Legal Adviser/Company Secretary and a government liaison executive for a Public Liability Gaming Company with government interests, for 8 years; representing at top profile government functions, meetings, summons; that include the NLRC, EFCC, ICPC, CPC, Senate and National Assembly.

She worked as a Group Company Secretary/ Legal Adviser/ Inter-governmental affairs Executive for Secure Electronic Technology Plc. (formerly National Sports Lottery Plc. & its Subsidiaries), Gateway Assessor for Citizens Advice Bureau, London Borough of Barnet, United Kingdom; Solicitor, AdelJibs and Co Solicitors, Enfield United Kingdom, Legal Consultant for Ekene Odum & Co Solicitors (Lagos Nig/Eng & Wales) and Hon. L.A Mbaso & Co. Nig.

She is currently the Founder and CEO of HILM Associates, a boutique legal consultancy firm that offers services on Gaming Practice and other niche areas of practice; Lotteryisfun.com.ng, a blog for the dissemination of information/news and articles related to the gaming industry in Nigeria, Africa and across the globe generally. She is also the founder and Chief Ideation Officer of Gaming Safe (GamSafe) Initiative, amongst other projects aimed at community development and societal sustainability.

She uses her expertise and practical knowledge of the gaming/gambling industry to advocate for better policies in the gaming/gambling industry, including promotion of safer gambling; balancing profit maximization with social responsibility, underage gambling prevention etc.
